A two-part radio show broadcast on Resonance FM from the Frieze Art Fair 14-15 October 2006.

About the broadcasts

For Love and Money takes a look at the art economy through the eyes and experiences of artists and curators, far removed from the glitz of one of the world's most profitable art fairs, the Frieze Art Fair.

Enriching and making possible the commercial art world as the creators of objects exhibited, traded and profited from, the income for an average artist in London remains below the minimum wage while 2005's Fair had a turnover of £33 million from the combined business of around 150 galleries.

For Love and Money invited artists and cultural workers at the thin end of the financial wedge to respond and react to the notion of an art fair, moving the agenda away from profit and towards a greater sympathy concerning the purpose of art in contemporary society.

The shows were broadcast from the Resonance FM booth at the Frieze Art Fair.
